Trinity Bike Park at Lowden Park, Weaverville, CA
We are excited to announce our commitment to building a bike park in Weaverville! The bike park will provide a safe and fun environment for people of all ages to build their bike riding skills. The bike park will include a pump track, adventure trails, and specific skill-building challenges like jumps, ramps, elevated tracks, and switchbacks. Riders will be able to progress through the challenges, improving their skills, enabling them to explore Weaver Basin Trails with more confidence and ability. The bike park will also provide a fun and healthy place to hang out with friends and family.
In a short amount of time the bike park project has already cleared several major hurdles and gained broad community support. In Spring of 2017, Trail Laboratories, LLC, was hired to create the bike park design plans and construction budget. The design plan has led us through Phase 1 of the project, the Pump and Skills Tracks. We are moving forward with fundraising efforts for Phase 2, the Slopestyle Course. If you are interested in helping or donating to the project, please contact us directly. You can donate directly to the bike park project, just send a check to Trinity Trail Alliance with a note "bike park"on the check. All donations are tax deductible so please include a return address for your receipt.

Phase 2: Slopestyle Course
Give us your input by taking our survey.
Trinity Trail Alliance is now working towards phase II of the Trinity Bike Park, a new slopestyle course. Slopestyle trails are a popular element of bike parks. The three proposed trails of varying difficulty will follow the natural contours of the site meandering back and forth via a directional path, which leads back to a start hill. Riders are challenged with consecutive features that offer the opportunity to 'catch air', 'get sideways', do tricks and have some fun in a progressive and safe format. The setting at the Trinity Bike Park provides a bonus, in that the start hill will offer an excellent vantage point for riders to watch their friends.
Additionally, there may be a variety of technical riding features such as wallrides and wooden ramps, as well as natural surface riding features consisting of tabletops, gap jumps, large berms and rollers. Since the Trinity Bike Park is the only facility of its kind in the area, the shapes, sizes and designs of the riding features will be tailored to the beginner/intermediate rider, while more advanced riders are encouraged to enjoy the trails in the Weaver Basin Trail System and trails throughout Trinity County.
The below concept plan illustrates the proposed location and layout of the new course.
